About The Council
The DoD Northeast Regional Council For Small Business Education and Advocacy covers New England and New York state.
The DoD Regional Councils for Small Business Education and Advocacy are a nationwide network of small business specialists organized to promote the Small Business Programs.
Mission
The Mission of the Northeast Regional Council is to:
Open Dialogue/Promote Small Business Utilization
The Council advances the mission of small business utilization by hosting Matchmaker and Training Events throughout our region. The Matchmaker Event brings together small businesses, representatives of federal agencies and large prime contractors for dialogue between buyer and seller that may lead to a long term business relationship. Understanding the needs of federal agencies and federal prime contractors is the first step small businesses can take in becoming a government contractor.
Provide Training
The Council also has developed training for both small businesses and for prime contractors which are provided the day prior to the Matchmaker. Our training provides the forum to learn and to network with others with shared goals in the contracting community. The current training modules can be accessed from the “Learning Center” tab. The training and resources that the Council has developed are to enhance small business participation in federal prime contracts and subcontracts.
